Arnold Mitchell "Arnie" Weinstein

Cousin Arnie always had a unique role in my family. Though my parents, Harold Weinstein and Sharron (Debora) Weinstein have known each other essentially their entire life (there are pictures of the 2 of them at Crystal Beach when they were both toddlers), it was as I was told Arnie's (and more likely my Aunt Sarah's) unique placement of the two of them at the same table for Arnie Bar Mitzvah that brought them together. Arnie was the cousin in common as my Aunt Sarah is my mom's aunt and Uncle Herman was my dad's uncle. Arnie and Shelly ultimately shared many simchas together including my bar mitzvah and my sister's bat mitzvah in Los Angeles. As a sprinter as well in high school, I always had a great connection with Arnie (Arnie was faster). And of course one of my greatest memories as a kid was our trip up to northern California for Arnie and Shelly's wedding (I believe I caught the garter). Arnie will be missed but as the cousin in common that brought my parents together, he will always be remembered.

On behalf of Crow Canyon Masonic Lodge please accept our condolences. Brother Roy Tamez and I were honored to conduct the Masonic service for you and your family. The kind and loving words that were spoken assured all that Arnie was truly loved and respected.
Arnie was one of the good guys who was dedicated to making life a little better for all he knew. His commitment to Free Masonry with a positive life style, his charity, kindness and understanding the needs of his fellowman and that of society is a credit to him and knowing him has made us all better human beings. And so it has come to pass, a loved one, having completed all the designs laid down on the Trestle Board of Life, has answered the summons of the Great Architect of the Universe and has entered into the Celestial Lodge above. He shall be missed.

Arnie was an absolute pleasure to have in Lodge. He was quick with a joke, had a big heart concerning those around him, and always worked hard at every role he undertook.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Weinstein family. He will be greatly missed.

Arnie was always kind, always funny. He was my comrade at the Lodge. We both wear bowties and complemented each other constantly. His loss will leave a great void in our Lodge. Rest in peace my brother. Until next time.

Arnie was truly a wonderful lodge brother. He came into a room and you knew he was your friend. His love for family was always present. And of course his fondness of hockey made him "the guy you wanted to know".

We miss him already and wish him well in his final journey. May God bless all his family and friends.

My deepest sympathies to the entire family and all friends. It is with great sorrow, felt by all of Arnie's fraternal brethren, at the final calling of our Great Creator for Brother Arnie to join him in his heavenly abode. We are grateful for all our good memories of Arnie and will always remember him in our prayers.
