For 35 years our path's would cross and felt Norm included me as a kindrid spirit. Norm ensured that business lunches always included small talk about his loved ones, adventures and music. It is with deep saddness to know that his kind and gentle spirit has left us. No doubt, heaven is rockin'.

I was saddened today to hear of Norm's passing. We worked together at various times at Nanaimo Family Life and I spent many evenings dancing to his band. Norm was fun to be with. He was generous with his wisdom and his humour and always had a joke to share. He brought out the best in people and he cared deeply for those who needed a little extra help in making their way in this world.

Theresa,on the eve of the celebration of Norm's life, we light a candle in his honour to replace the light that went out, here on Earth, when he passed! Norm was a good guy in heart and soul and he went too soon!
Much love and sympathy,
Uncle Ranon and Auntie Faye

I know that anyone whoever had the honour of spending any time with Norm was touched by his generousity of spirit, his sence of humour and the heart that was as big as the man. I was one of those people, having had the privilege of working with Norm for the past four years in the Triumph program in the Campbell River, Courtenay and Powell River offices and most recently as part of the Job Options BC team. He was one of the good guys. He is missed and will always be remembered with a laugh and a tear. In sympathy, Gay Bruner

Norm's kind and fair words that have been written or said will be treasured by me. A truly special man who would always make the time to talk. I will miss his humous writings and joke telling. I will remember Norm blowing bubbles, eating chocolate, dress pants and runners and watching hockey playing his Iphone noises. My thoughts are with all of Norm's family, friends and co-workers.

Locked Diary
When you loose a loved one
the Diary is neglected
You forgot what it contained
awhile ago
The Mystery is where is the key
Perhaps in Spirits keeping
Shall we leave it there
put it all to rest
Will then our strength be whole/

I had the distinct pleasure of knowing and working with Norm at WCG. His incredible sense of humour could always make me laugh, even on the toughest of days. I will miss his sage advice, his wit and his beautiful spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this very difficult time.

Norm was a sweet, thoughtful and sensitive man. Always a hug or a smile given readily. I am among many who had the priviledge of meeting Norm when we were at a very young age and watching him grow into the beautiful person that he was. Theresa, and family, losing Norm is a tradegy, sharing stories and memories at his "party" will ensure that his spirit is with you always. He was greatly loved and respected by so many.
