Arthur BAXTER Obituary

BAXTER, Arthur Gordon
Born September 18, 1933 and passed away peacefully October 3, 2012. Predeceased by parents Robert and Elizabeth, and sisters: Florence McCrea (Frank), Helen Wilkes (Heridge), Elizabeth Caffery (Bill), Claire Kolle (Sverre) and brother Donald (Isla). Survived by sons Richard and Michael, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Worked at National Research Council (34 years). Post-retirement as an addiction recovery counsellor. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 13 at 11 a.m. at First Memorial Funeral Services, 259 St. Patrick St. Ottawa, Ontario.

Our Condolences. Art was a great friend with my parents. My father Neil Scheel worked with Art at the National Research Council. We appreciated his love and friendship over the years.

My late husband, Lucien Pageau, shared a number of working years with Arthur. I met him numerous times, some of them in my home, therefore I have fond memories of the good times we shared with him.

What a beautiful,funny, gentle, and loving man the world has lost. He was my Dad's best friend and a huge support for us when he passed. Art made me laugh even in the hard times. I will always love him for that. Our thoughts and prays to the family for your loss. I know he is now up there playing golf with Dad.

Art was a great friend & I will miss him very much. We talked alot and enjoyed each others company. He stayed with my wife and I a while and I will cherish these thoughts always. He was a wonderful friend & was always their for me. He will always be remembered in our heart.
