Arthur was a character, I enjoyed his sense of humor.
His laugh was infectious.
He will be missed.
Say hi to Bea for us.
Rest in peace Arthur.

I have known Arthur Braun for most of my life. His sister Faith and I have been friends since kindergarten. Arthur was older and off to college when we were still young but I have fond memories. I remember Arthur hanging out in the living room. He was always nice to us and never chased us away (lol). I remember meeting Nina when they started dating. To this young girl they were both so cool. I remember Arthur´s beautiful eyes and the laughter I saw them share. Rest well Arthur, rest well.
With love and deepest sympathies to Nina, Justine, Amanda and all the Braun family from Ellen Heide.

Arthur welcomed me to Boden Avenue. He was my first friend , ever.
We would ride our bikes all over. Sometimes in places we shouldn't have, the path by the railroad tracks. Or climbing into a freezer( what's the problem? We had a flashlight!) My childhood memories all involved Arthur. Thank you for being my friend, you will be missed by all.

I am Arthur's second cousin from New York. We lost touch over the years, but I have never forgotten the memories of our childhood visits. His family came to my family's apartment in Kew Gardens often. My family and I visited his family in Valley Stream often. We shared toys, books, and many meals together.
My condolences to his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings. May he rest in peace.

It is hard to imagine a world without Uncle Arthur. I recall his boundless energy and enthusiasm for new projects. He enjoyed gardening, and when he moved to Florida, he learned all about tropical plants and planted fruit trees and orchids in his yard. A cat lover, there was always a menagerie of feline friends residing with the family. He delighted in long evenings of conversation. Some topics of interest to him included spirituality, philosophy, psychology, and nature. He was a dedicated 3rd grade educator and made an impact on young students for decades. I deeply appreciate Uncle Arthur visiting me on the most important days of my life. He made the long trip to Massachusetts to be present at my wedding. I remember how happy and surprised I was to see Uncle Arthur, Aunt Nina and Amanda at the hospital after the birth of my daughter. Uncle Arthur will be very deeply missed.

I am Arthur's older brother Eric. But I am not older by much, only 14 months. So we spent a lot of time together in our early years as toddlers and young children. And Arthur was my best friend then. I remember Arthur as a child. He had blond hair, and a ready smile. Adults would stand over him and marvel at how cute he was. Arthur always had charm. We shared a bedroom, and when we couldn't sleep right away we would sing songs together. We even made up a song, Hi Little Lady, about our dog Lady, a little miniature pincher. I still remember the song and could sing it to you today. Arthur liked animals. We always had a menagerie of dogs and cats, because my mother liked animals too, and my parents bred dogs. At Arthur's encouragement, we also had a rabbit, small turtles, tropical fish, a parakeet, and box turtle, and even a Wooley monkey. Yeh, he got my father to buy a monkey, and he and I had to care for it in our room, which didn't work out to well. I told my parents I was too young to be a parent to a monkey. Arthur was creative and artistic. He liked ancient Egypt and made up his own language Egybic, which he fluently conversed in. With his friends, he headed a club of superheros from the comics. I think he was Flash Gordon. And Arthur liked plants. I remember after his orthodondic appointment he would get my mother to go to a nursery and buy plants, which she would not otherwise do, and they would plant them together. He was open to all kinds of people. He befriended the only black person in our high school, and had our family go to Harlem to attend her wedding. I know Arthur's essence. He was good and kind. I will always love my brother Arthur. Eric Braun

Summers in Boca are some of my core memories, and Uncle Arthur is at the heart of so many of them. From trips to Carvel to afternoons at Deerfield Beach with him and the family, those moments are forever etched in my heart.
Uncle Arthur, I love you, and I hope you´re up there with Grandma Bea, enjoying a sweet reunion.
Sending all my love and light to Aunt Nina, Justine, and Mandy during this difficult time. Love, Elise
