Rochester: Went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at age 88. Born September 20, 1925. Survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret; son, Douglas (Lynda); son-in-law, Rev. Dr. James Revell; grandchildren, Joel (Brianne) Cornell, Elisabeth Revell (Jon) Grunert, Leah (Rev. Matthew) Nickoloff, Nathaniel Revell, Rebekah Cornell, and Aaron Cornell. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren, sister Elsie Lowell, brother Joseph (Phoebe), and many nieces and nephews.

Ben was predeceased by his son, Benjamin Arthur Cornell; daughter, Gail Marie Cornell Revell; grandson, Joshua Cornell; sisters, Leah Owen, Crystal Britt, and Vina Coleman; and brothers, Nate and Paul Cornell.

A Homegoing celebration will be held August 10th 3PM at Lighthouse Christian Camp, 9574 Somerset Drive, Barker, NY 14012. To light a candle of remembrance, visit www.alifecelebrated.com.

What memories of Uncle Ben I have...ALL GOOD! The last time I saw him was on Good Friday, last, when I was privileged to serve The Sacrament of Holy Communion to him, Aunt Peggy, Doug and Lynda and Chip. it was a sacred time when we all recalled the Supreme Sacrifice made for us all through the death of our Lord and expressed gratitude to God for this most gracious Gift. We expect to be with our Lord, Uncle Ben, and all who have made preparation to be with Jesus, our Savior and Lord, and Live forever with all we love so because we have been loved so.

Doug and family, In the short while I have known Mr. Cornell from The Highlands, it was readily apparent that he was a loving man of character. Please know that my prayers are with you. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories as you celebrate the life of this man well lived.
