Arthur Dowd Obituary
91, of Mesa, AZ passed away on August 29, 2014. Arthur passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Born May 9, 1923 in Braman Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army during World War II (Chinese Combat Command). He was a member of the Masons. He spent his early years farming and retired from commercial construction. He is preceded in death by Etta Dowd, his wife of 60 years, his parents Ray and Ethel Dowd, and his grandson Brian Zellers. He is survived by his children, Al Dowd, Kathy (John) Pratt, Mark (Diane) Dowd, and Carol Dowd, grandchildren Ryan and John Dowd and Amanda (Greg) Doyle. We will all miss his smile and beautiful blue eyes. His family wishes to thank Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate care. Graveside service to be held at the National Memorial Cemetery, September 19th, 2014 at 10:00 AM, Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Valley at 1510 E Flower Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85014.
