Mr. Green died Tuesday, Sept. 5 in a Florence hospital after an illness. He was born in Florence County, the son of the late Arthur Green Sr. and the late Hazel Naomi Robinson Green.
Mr. Green attended the Florence County public schools and was a member of The House of God Church, Pamplico. He was self-employed as a car mechanic until his health failed.
Survivors are two sisters, Geneva (Matthew Jr.) Brown of Pamplico and Odessa McWhite of Florence; a brother, Joe (Linda) Green of Pamplico; an aunt, Effie Davis of Bridgeport, Conn.; and several nieces and several nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
