Mr. Hopgood was a wonderful teacher I had him as special ed teacher at Capuchio. It is because of teachers like him then I manged to go in life and make something of my self. Rest in peace Mr. Hopgood.

What I learned from Mr Hopgood shaped my entire life. Its strange how one teacher and one class can give direction to a persons life and enable a career that has lasted over 50 years.
Rest in Peace Mr Hopgood and thank you.

Mr. Hopgood was one of my favorite people. He was such a sweet man and I loved it when he sang for us. Few are blessed with so much talent. May your memories help your loneliness.

My sincere sympathy in the loss of your husband. I was in the Cap Class of '57. To this day, I am moved to tears when I hear "O Holy Night." I can still hear him sing, acapela, at our Christmas assemblies. He will always remain a treasured memory of my high school years.

Sincere sympathy for the loss of Art. He was my husband, Tullio Bertini's master teacher at Cap in the spring of 1955. Tullio then worked with Art in the Industrial Arts Department for 25 years, and had the highest respect and affection for him. I hope they meet up in Heaven, as Tullio died in Jan.2011 at age 80. I remember that Art was a fine musician as well as a dedicated teacher and friend.

I want to offer my deepest sympathy to Bonnie Jean Hopgood for the loss of her husband, Art. He was also my Industrial Arts teacher and Counselor at Capuchino High School, in San Bruno, CA, from 1954 to 1958. I also want to offer my congratulations to a long life of service in teaching. He will be remembered with great fondness by his many students and colleagues.

Aloha my dear Bonnie Jean, I taught with your husband for 31 years and had absolutely wonderful teaching relationship. He was one of the nicest faculty on campus. I personally had never seen him angry, sad or disgruntled. He must've hid it very well teaching as long as he did. But the point is that I honored him and still do for his unselfish addition, to Capuchino High School's faculty. He was one of the favorites of the student body. His generous time, energy and counseling skills made that so. We will miss him, we will All miss him. I send my heartfelt sympathy to the entire family. Bless him, bless you, Stanley Grosse, Capuchino Art Department
