Arthur Jones Obituary
Born June 3, 1986, in Rochester, New York, Jones rose from Union-Endicott High School to become one of Syracuse University's most disruptive defenders. At Syracuse, he lettered four seasons and set the program's interior-lineman record for tackles for loss.
The Ravens drafted Jones in the fifth round in 2010. He blossomed in Baltimore's rugged front, helping deliver the franchise's championship in the 2012 season. In Super Bowl XLVII, he recorded a sack and recovered a fumble in the 34-31 victory over San Francisco.
Jones played seven NFL seasons with the Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, and Washington Redskins. Across 64 career games, he posted 173 tackles, 10 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Coaches and teammates remembered a steady pro who lifted those around him with positivity and humor.
He came from a famously athletic family and never tired of celebrating it. Arthur was the older brother of Jon Jones, the longtime UFC champion, and Chandler Jones, a Pro Bowl edge rusher. Their successes were a point of mutual pride and frequent sideline smiles.
Tributes from the Ravens organization described Jones as a "vibrant" presence who loved his family, teammates, and community. Fans remembered an approachable champion who always had time for a photo, a handshake, or a laugh.

A talented player that was known for his playing in the field and his dynamic personality off the field. Many loved to watch him play, he made great contributions to the Ravens with their Super Bowl win as well as with the other teams he played with.
