My heart is absolutely broken to see this sad news. My time with Arthur, I cherished. My life was, is and will continue to be better for knowing him. Wonderful happy memories. I loved you so, I really did. I am so very sad for the Norton family. A wonderful Family.

I knew "Arty" (as we called him back then) a long time ago from our days at UMass and beyond. I only recently learned this very sad news about him, and shared it with a few of our friends from the old dorm ... My deepest sympathies to Ernesto (seria un placer conocerle un dia) and his family -- I still have some very old, but warm, memories!

In Memory of Arthur I. Norton
We are deeply saddened to hear the news that Arthur I Norton, Greenhouse's former Head Concierge, has passed away. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Arthur was the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the Department of Social Services before his retirement several years ago. The Greenhouse was fortunate to have him as our Head Concierge, but only for a few months, before he was forced to resign, due to illness.
Although he was here for only a brief time, Arthur made an indelible impression on us all. With his wonderful smile and patient manner, he performed his duties with professionalism and genuine caring. He will be greatly missed by The Greenhouse staff and residents, alike.

I had the privilege of meeting Arthur in summer of 2006 - From the day I met him, working on BoSoma's production VIBE became a fun and delightful experience... We were a great team and He was my absolute saving grace(!) Arthur was hilarious and thoughtful and totally honest. He anticipated your needs and had a way of supporting that was truly encouraging. I am so sorry to hear of his passing... his spirit will be out there making things better for the world for sure. Bless him and peace be with those he loved and knew. Shelley Lynn

I learned of Arthur's passing today as I walked along Newbury Street when an acquaintance I knew through my time working the gym with Arthur told me the sad news. There the two of us stood, so sad as Arthur was so upbeat, positive, tender, and a caring friend. I can't believe this terrible news. Ernesto I am so sorry for your loss. My hours as 'towel girl' working at the Sheraton gym with Arthur were fun-filled. He made me, and everyone there, laugh and look at life's bright side. To be forever missed
Lesley Lou Johnson, Arthur's towel girl with a Ph.D. Love you Arthur

Arthur and I met when he and I were 5 years old. He was my most cherished friend at that time in my life. When I was picked on by our peers he was there to put it all in perspective and made the pain go away. I last saw Arthur when we were 11 when my family moved. His Mother Kathryn has always held a special place in my heart too for her kindness. I was hoping that I would see Arthur this year for the first time in 45 years and meet you Ernesto. I am saddened for the loss of such a kind and caring man. I was blessed for having him in my life, he was a Godsend.
With my deepest sympathy to you Ernesto and to all of his loved ones.
