I have only just heard that 'Arty' has passed away. I wondered why I had not received a Christmas Card from him, his was always the first to arrive. The Ridge family (and the Margetsons) were great friends with the Clements family in Ferndale Road, South Norwood in South London. He, and his brothers and sisters and stepbrothers and stepsisters were a big part of my childhood and life. I will miss him very much. 'Joytie'

Tony - For fifteen years you were my friend.
You and Jane's annual visit to Sally in Wales was a high-point of the year for me.
God Bless you Tony.

Art - How we'll miss you! The stories that you and my Dad could tell were endles and always had the whole family in stitches. I will always remember the one about digging the air-raid shelter at the bottom of the garden at Ferndale Road. And my own memory is of driving you from Tunbridge Wells back to RAF Odiham after you'd arrived back from Germany. It was in a freezing winter, icy roads, I'd just learnt to drive and had my first car and there was this RAF hero alongside me who took me into the Officers' Mess at Odiham while you went and tried to start your car under a foot of snow with a dead battery!

Memories.

God Bless, Art.

Art, you were full of life and laughter. You and dad were two peas in a pod. Continue the laughter with him in heaven. You will be missed here on earth.

Dear Uncle Art, my first memories of you was seeing you in your RAF uniform when I was about four years old, you looked so dapper and smart. You always gave me such joy when we met and you were always so full of fun and such great stories, you were the greatest "slightly risqué" uncle in the family. The whole family used to talk about your heroic deeds with hushed reverence! God broke the mould when you were born. We will miss you Art, you were a great person to know.

Tony.
Clive and I have known you for many years. Clive from a very young age when he and Sally go up to lots of tricks.
I became best friends with Sally when I was 18 years old and away from home for first time. You and Rhiann welcomed me into your home and treated me as a daughter, I will always remember the kindness you both showed to me, even when Sally and I got into troule you would always be on our side, even when I am sure you knew we were in the wrong you never let any one harm us.
Clive and I have such happy memorys of you. The last time we saw you was at Andrews wedding and you had not changed a bit, still teasing me about my big bum, that was your wonderful charm and humour.
God bless Tony and our love to Jane.

Jane,
I know you are in amazing hands with your family & friends. I hope I can also offer my love and support to you as you have always graciously done for me. I know this is a difficult time. I am blessed to have met Tony and hearing about how the two of you met, to hear the laughter in his voice and listening to some of his stories. I hold the short time spent as part of your family dear to my heart and my prayers are with you guys.

Tony shared so much with us-holidays, vactions, graduations, and every day with our Mom. We will miss spending time with him. He helped me not to be afraid of flying. Sally, thank you for sharing your Daddy with us.
