Arthur Rupp Obituary

MILFORD - Arthur Wm. Rupp, Sr. died Sept. 6, 2013. Born in Staten Island, N.Y. he was the son of the late Alfred Neeb Rupp and Anna Marie Bailey Rupp. Mr. Rupp was a Veteran of the US Coast Guard where he had served from 1935 until 1939. Upon leaving the Coast Guard, Mr. Rupp joined the US Army Air Corps and served from 1939 until 1941. He then worked for the US government as an Equipment Operator at Howard Air Force Base. After his military and civil service, he had worked in Electronics for most of his life where he had been a technician servicing equipment for the three major Television Networks. In January 2000 he had moved from Staten Island, N.Y. to Milford, Del. He had been a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed the time spent with his family. In his quieter moments he enjoyed Radio Controlled Model Air Planes ls and was an avid Photographer and Developer. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Capen Rupp; a son, Christopher A. Rupp; and his granddaughter, Carolyn R. Rupp. Mr. Rupp leaves his four sons, Arthur W. Rupp, Jr. of Penna, Frank B. Rupp of Staten Island, N.Y., David J. Rupp of Milford, Del., and Frederick C. Rupp of Dover, Del.; his brother, Walter Rupp of Staten Island, N.Y.; along with 12 grandchildren; and 11 great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Graveside Committal Services at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Rd., New Dorp - Staten Island, NY. Life's End Services are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc. Dover, DE. Condolences may be made via www.ambruso.com.
