ARTURO L. ANZALDUA

CUERO - Arturo L. Anzaldua, 89, of Cuero, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2008. He was born March 18, 1919, in Ratcliff, to the late, Lorenzo Anzaldua and Guadalupe Longoria Anzaldua. He was a carpenter for Post Lumber in Cuero for 20 years. He was a member of Jerusalem Bible Church in Cuero.
He is survived by his wife, Mamie Anzaldua; sons, Lawrence Anzaldua of Cuero, Alfred Anzaldua of Cuero, Jake Anzaldua of Luling, Albert Anzaldua of Yuba City, Calif., Ishmael Anzaldua of Cuero, Eleazar Trevino of Cuero, Larry Trevino of Cuero, Moses Trevino of Cuero; brothers, Barto Anzaldua of California, Aaron Anzaldua of Pasadena, and Fidencio Anzaldua of San Antonio; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marteo Anzaldua and Alejandro Anzaldua; sisters, Beatrice Trujilco, Frances Torres and Lydia Hernandez; and son, Arthur Anzaldua Jr.
Pallbearers: Lawrence Anzaldua, Jake Anzaldua, Eleazar Trevino, Moses Trevino, Larry Trevino and Ishmael Anzaldua.
There will be a prayer service Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, 7 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service will be Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, 10 a.m., at Jerusalem Bible Church with the Rev. Dan Cancino officiating. Interment will follow at Yorktown Community Cemetery.
