Ashley and fam, I sure miss seeing your face every day and chatting while you got your coffee! I´m so grateful I got to know you and hear your story. It literally saved my life! In 2012 I decided I wanted my pcp to start removing moles I thought looked weird and despite my pcp saying they looked fine, she listened to my request. Lo and behold one of the two first biopsies came back melanoma! Luckily it was caught early, but if it wasn´t for you, I might not be here today! I periodically look up your video over the years since your passing and share with anyone who might listen. My husband recently had a new mole pop up and I made him watch the video today, something I´ve done before lol His pcp thinks it looks concerning but thinks it can wait and I´m like ummm no. I love to see your legacy lives on still to this day and your folks have a research grant in your name! I´m so grateful I got to consider you a friend. I hope you´re dancing in a pink and glittery heaven!

Hello, Ashley. We never knew each other when you were alive, but today I saw the old Health Link interview with you from about a decade ago.

I am so sorry for the suffering you experienced. Thank you for warning others about the dangers of tanning beds. May you rest in peace.

My thoughts are also with all of Ashley´s loved ones.

Hi Ashley, I didn't know you but I just saw the decades old Health Link video on Youtube. Thank you for sharing your story when you were at odds with your cancer. I don't tan but I also don't apply a good skin regimen for sunlight... and seeing your story had got me thinking about my health. I wish you and your family peace.

Very courageous and strong willed lady God will hold her in his hands,

I am so sorry for your loss... I heard about Ashleys story more than a year ago and I stopped tanning immediately... I just wish that I could have told her that it was because of her that I chose to be safe. May she rest in peace in Gods Kingdom

I just watched a video about Ashley. I was actually debating whether or not to use a tanning bed. I have made my decision...I WONT GO! I do this in her honor. Thank you for sharing. May God bless you

Thank you for being so brave to share your story. You would not stay quiet even when you were slipping away. You have saved so many people's lives. I honor you and will never forget you. You are so brave. I vow to never tan in your name. May God continue to grant your family peace and may they know and be comforted that you truly are saving so many. We can all identify with wanting to be beautiful, bigger breast, nice and tanned, lighter, smaller/ bigger butt, lose those stubborn pounds, etc. I now realize nothing is worth dying for.

Bob, Karen, & Darin,

I just wanted you to know that my thought & prayers are with you all during this difficult jouney that is ahead of you. I want to thank you so much for the opportunity of having Ashley in my life. After talking, it was nice to know I had such an influence on her life..her pink nails.
She was truly an amazing little girl, and I will always cherish the time I had with her. I loved her as if she was my baby sister. She's with God now...he needed another beautiful angel resting in peace.

The Trenner Family,

I am deeply sadden by the loss of Ashley. I can see her as the free spirited child she was growing up in chapel downs. She was a pistol then and made such a pleasant impact that I can still see her vividly when I think about those times. I'm sure she was touch many people throughout her life with her spirit and in quiet times when you think of her all your going to able to do is smile warmly and say "Yeah that was Ashley." Rest In Peace My Long Lost friend. You were loved.

Ashley touched my life at a time that I needed someone to tell me it is okay to be who I am. In my eyes as a 12 year old young girl Ashley was fearless. She never was afraid to be who she was and I couldn't help but love her for that. Now as a young woman I think of Ashley and her glittery bedroom when I need a little courage to be myself. I wish I would have had a chance to say goodbye. But I look forward to seeing her again in paradise as a healthy young woman. My heart goes out to your family and I will keep you in my prayers.

I am so fortunate to have known Ashley. Bright, perky, and beautiful inside as well as out. The world would be so much better if there were more like Ashley. I will always think of her and smile.

We are thankful to have seen her several times in the last few years and to experience what a beautiful young lady she had become. Your friends,

I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a kindhearted friend. The girly-girl driving a Chevy Chevelle muscle car in high school is the perfect illustration of Ashley: Beautiful and Strong.

You are forever in my heart.

To Ashley's parents and dearest friends:
May friends comfort you,
Faith uphold you,
Loving memories heal your heart,
with heartfelt sympathy

My Dear Karen and Bob:

I spoke with Wes last week and he told me of Ashley's passing. I only met Ashley once, at Wes and Mary's wedding. What a beautiful woman. I am so sorry of your loss. Please know she is with our good Lord and in his safe, sweet keeping. My heart, sympathy and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. I, as a parent, cannot even imagine what you are going through, but know that I, like others, care and you are in our thoughts. Much Love to You, Diane Benash, Wes and Mary's Mom

When we were in school we spent the night at eachothers houses every weekend and would hang out everyday after school. We stayed up late and giggled out of control, we called those the TJs (tired jollies)! Ashley was the first girl in the neighborhood to ask if I could play (I was 7 when we moved to woodinville). She has always been such a positive influence and is an inspiration to many. Sending you and your family many blessings.
