Athena Litos Obituary
Staten Island resident, formerly of Jackson Heights
Athena Litos passed away at the age of 96 on Feb. 2, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson Heights, N.Y., and recently moved to Staten Island.
Athena is survived by her devoted sons, George and Patricia Litos, Andrew and Mary Lou Litos; loving grandchildren, Catherine and Peter Tsoukas, Nicholas Litos, Nicole Litos and George and Jeannette Litos; and cherished great-grandchildren, Alexander and Sebastian.
Visitation is today, Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 4:30 to 9 p.m., at Joseph Farenga, www.farengafuneralhome.com. Funeral service is 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Sts. Constantine and Helen Church, 37-57 72nd St., Jackson Heights, N.Y. 11372. Interment is at the Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn.
In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.

I was just thinking out my Christmas Card list when I learned that my dear friend has entered into eternal life this year. I remember her with love as "Ethel". We worked together at Macy's during the late 70's / early 80's. Even though I left Macy's in 1987, we stayed in touch - exchanging Christmas cards every year and I was always thrilled that she was still going strong into her 90's - and always so very touched that she would take the time to send me a card.
She was a wonderful mentor and a gracious and loving friend.
I love you and miss you, dear Ethel. Until we meet again...

Athena was a fun aunt and lovely person . I remember her fondly from many years ago and our visits to New York . My thoughts are with Andrew and George and families . Her smile and spirit be remembered .
