DALE, Geoffrey Murray Cartwright C.D., B.A., B.ED. 1918 -- 2017 - Peacefully on Monday December 11th, 2017 in his 100th year. Geoff, devoted husband of Prue (died 1998), loving father of Barbara (died 2008), (Jim Hughes and Karen Davidson), Longview, AB, Penny (Frank Brathwaite), Newmarket, ON, and Ian (Maggie), Goderich, ON. Proud grandfather of Sarah Hughes (Andrew Simmonds), Stephen, Peter (Laurie), and Janet (Harold Pliszka), Andrew Brathwaite (Wendy) and Amy Brathwaite; great-grandfather of Kayla, Dawn and Erin Hughes, Billy and Cole Hughes, Hailey and Reuben Pliszka. Brother of Robert G. Dale (died 2013), (Mary Dale), Toronto, and brother of Sister Mary Cartwright (Jim died 1976), Bracebridge, ON. Served in The Toronto Scottish Regiment (MG) in the U.K., and N.W. Europe 1940-45, in the militia before and after the war retiring as major. Served on the staff of Trinity College School 1946-1983 including fifteen years as the Assistant Headmaster. He and Prue were staunch members of St. Mark's parish since 1946.
