Buzzy Swift
February 25, 2020
"Holaaa!!" would come the cry across Milton Academy's quad when Aubrey would, larger than life, with presence unsurpassed, make the crossing. It was the 70's, and everyone was dressing badly, except Aubrey, whose wardrobe and style matched her unfeigned exuberance! Also growing up in the Town, my treks home from school always included a pass by the Smith's house, and often that same greeting would be cast out of a window on the way by. I was terrible at Spanish, but Aubrey was unfazed and marvelously encouraging - which carried through into my later life to become - not awful at it! Standard bearers for the type of academicians one would always hope our country was full up on, as A.O. used to say -"Always loyal and true Mr. Swift, always loyal and true", Aubrey was a teacher that stayed with you your whole life through. I will always be loyal and true to Aubrey's memories. She was simply unforgettable. The Swifts send their love.

I had the absolute pleasure of seeing and talking to Aubrey every day whilst I worked at Acorn Cottage. She was the most wonderful lady and I loved to hear her read to the other residents. My sincere sympathy to Peter and his family.
