Audrey Chapin Obituary
Born April 28, 1945 in Peoria Il to Charles L. Hart and Deloris (Hillman). She is survived by Daughter, Elizabeth Porter, (David), Grandchildren Kaitlyn Fox, (Brandon) of Anderson, Ca, Matthew Porter, (Heidi) of Butte Valley, Ca, Great Grandchildren Hunter, Nora, Eden and Reese, Four Siblings; Rose Masters (Bob) of E. Peoria, Il, Sherri Dietrich (Bill) of Morton, Il, Bob Hart (Faith) Congerville, Il and Bill Hart (Terri) of Goodfield, Il.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Allan Chapin of Paradise, Ca, her parents and three siblings, Lynda Bolton, Jack Hart and Joe Hart.
Audrey was an Administrative Assistant for businesses in the Chico and Sacramento areas. She worked for Aetna Insurance Co, Eppies Restaurant LLC, Legal Firms as a paralegal for several years and stayed in retirement after working for Matson and Isom. Her shorthand and typing services were sought after and were a rare expertise no longer practiced by most.
During her retirement she took great pleasure in spending time with friends and family. Her love of Jesus Christ and others she loved and cared for were her primary and enduring purposes. Growing up mostly on a small family farm, she never stopped planting or gardening.
In her last year of life, she was cared for by an extraordinary team of people who provided her with great care and unyielding compassion. Many thanks to those at Butte Home Health & Hospice and the talented and caring staff at the Terraces.
Services for Audrey Chapin will be held on Wednesday May 1, 2024 in Paradise, Ca. 95969

Mom, oh wow am I missing you this year! I´ll always cherish the memory of you during the Christmas season. The lengths you went through to make sure all received a gift or in my case GIFTS!!!!
Your Peanut Butter Fudge and home made Chex mix. The beautiful dinners and brightly lit trees. You´re insistence to ensure I knew Christ. All those Sunday mornings, bible camps and Sunday School. Our last Christmas-together is especially one I pray to hold onto for the remainder of my days. Thank you Mom for all, miss you so.
