MILLIGAN, Audrey ('Babs')
Peacefully on October 28, 2003 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital having suffered multiple myeloma with remarkable grace and courage for some ten years. Beloved wife of Victor and much loved by her step-sons Jeffrey Milligan (Toronto), Michael Milligan, his wife Roberta and son Alexander (New Hampshire); by step-son Jeffrey Morrow, his wife Cheryl and children Kendall, Dale and Alex (British Columbia); by her sisters Maureen Stewart, Ena Millar and husband Herbie (Northern Ireland); by her sister Lady Dorothy Thompson and her husband Sir Gilbert (England); by her sister-in-law Jill Twomey (London, Ontario) and her family; by her nephews, nieces and their families in North America, Ireland, England and Australia: by her close friends in Oakville, St. Catharines and Georgian Bay where she formerly lived and by her many friends in Longboat Key, Florida where she spent many happy winters. All who knew her remember her great tenderness and compassion, her passion for tennis in earlier days and later for golf, her love of song which accompanied even the most difficult task and , most of all, they treasure her concern for others. Our lives will be colder without the warmth of her smile. Funeral Services will be private. A celebration of Babs life will take place at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds St., Oakville on Monday, November 3 at 11:30 a.m. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Charitable Corporation would be appreciated.
