AUGUST DiTOPPA Obituary
AUGUST
Age 89, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2018. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Luigi and Maria (Picardi) DiToppa; and his sister, Theresa Sedlak. August was the loving husband of 67 years to Leona (Lauffer) DiToppa; father of Dr. Louis A. (Joyce) DiToppa of North Huntingdon, Paul A. (Marti) DiToppa of North Huntingdon and David A. DiToppa of Bethel Park. He was the proud grandfather of three granddaughters, Paige, Martina and Maria DiToppa; and brother of Linda Lomicka. August was employed by the McKeesport Water Authority for over 30 years and he retired as Superintendent. He was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Church. August had a strong work ethic and, after retirement from the water authority, he worked at the former Carmike Cinemas in White Oak as a weekend manager. He enjoyed taking care of his home and automobiles, but his greatest joy was providing for his family. "The Aug" will be dearly missed by his family and his many, many, friends. Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at JAYCOX - JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME in McKeesport. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church on Friday, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.
