Aurelia was one of the kindest people I have ever known. I am so sorry that I did not learn of her passing in time to pay my respects personally. She was a dear friend to me when we drove to work together at the County for many years. I called her a year or two ago at Christmas time and she was so delighted to hear from me. She said I made her Christmas. She talked of her family and how proud she was of her children, granddaughters and her grandchildren. I always meant to continue to keep in touch and thought of her often. I work near Cheryl Geil and ran into her today when I learned that she had passed away. She did so much for me when I lost my parents and also during some very rough times in my life. In 1981, when I lost both of my parents within days of one another, I had no one to watch my 3 small children. She and her sister stepped in and spent the day with my children. She actually also acted as a Godparent to my son Scott. I will never forget her. She was a very special lady.

Aurelia was a dear and beloved friend of my Mother, Mary Eastly. We have many happy memories of them both working in the kitchen - especially during the holidays - and various volunteer activities. Always a warm and welcoming lady, especially during my egg deliveries from Hodil's!

God Bless Her and the Giel Family.

To the Giel Family -

Aurelia was a special lady and we shall all miss her. When I would call her she always had such "sunshine" in her voice and made you feel good. We are sorry we could not express our sympathy to you personally but know that we shall miss Aurelia too. God bless you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. Aurelia was a very good friend of my late sister,Anna Mae Treese. She often spoke of Aurelia and Aurelia sent her many get well wishes. I'm sure they are meeting with each other and very happy to be with thier Maker. I'm sure God has a special pace for them.

To the Giel Family:

You have my deepest sympathy. Your mom was a very special person that enjoyed life. She proudly talked about her grandchildren. We are all going to miss her smiling face.

I was shocked when I heard the news about my cousin Aurelia. Her husband was my mothers cousin. I last got to talk to her Monday night as she sat in June Klaus's car. She looked tired thought it was the weather. When I would talk to her it was always about the relatives and growing up. She will truly be missed. I hope she looks down at all of us and keep us in our places. I know one day we will get to see her again.
