Austin K. Darling

Austin K. Darling, 26, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was an amazing and incredibly loved son of Tonya Darling. He was born in Urbana, Illinois on July 14, 1996. He was a beautiful person inside and out, a great friend, and a wonderful son.

He is survived by his loving mother, Tonya Darling; his beloved brothers, Tyler Joyner and Dawson Getts; his adoring grandparents, Connie and Herman Morris; and his dearest friend, Megan Ormsby.

Austin graduated from Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin Cooperative High School in 2014 and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He then went on to receive his Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. During this time, a couple of his proudest achievements were completing an internship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and being published in medical journals for his clinical research work at Vanderbilt University.

Austin was always the brightest light in any room and was genuine, loving and compassionate towards all. He will be forever missed by many as the smart, caring, and accepting person that he was.

A Celebration of Life and time to remember Austin will be held on October 15, 2022 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Cloud 9 Banquet Hall located at 22633 N. Bowman Avenue, Suite 1, Danville, Illinois 61834.
