Austin Lee "Bubby" Evans

Austin Lee "Bubby" Evans, 32, passed away on August 31, 2024, in Detroit, Oregon. Born on June 4, 1992, in Salem, Oregon, he was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend who left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Austin graduated from Lost River High School in Malin, Oregon, where he was a formidable football player before discovering his passion for bull riding. Despite life's challenges, including surviving cancer and a severe vehicle accident as a teenager, Austin's resilience and strength were remarkable. He found his true calling in his own business, Evans Lawn and Landscaping, where he dedicated himself to creating beautiful oases from unkempt properties.

He was last employed in HazMat cleanup with Clean Harbors, demonstrating his enduring hardworking spirit. Austin was a devoted father to his children Austin Jr., Cecilia, Walker, and Kodie, and a loving husband to his wife, Kourtney. He is survived by his parents, Kristina and John Asher and Billy Rodriguez; his brothers, Logan Asher, Brycent Asher, Dustin Evans; his sister, Kaycee Asher-Hutchins; brother-in-law, Silas Hutchins; grandmother, Teresa Weber; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Weber, and grandmothers, Kathleen Hall affectionately known as "Watergrams" and Gloria Asher.

No services are planned at this time. Unger Funeral Home in Silverton, Oregon, is assisting the family with arrangements. Austin's family and friends will deeply miss his vibrant presence and enduring spirit.
