Austin Roper Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 24, 2025.
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Austin David Roper, who was born on July 25, 2005, and left this world far too soon on July 5, 2025, at the age of 19. A lifelong resident of Manatee/Sarasota Counties and a member of the Parrish community, Austin embraced every moment with an adventurous spirit and a heart full of love.

Austin attended Parrish Community High School and graduated in 2023. He attended Manatee Technical College pursuing an ASE Automotive Certification and worked as an Electrician. He had a natural ability in both vocations and found joy in understanding how things work.

Austin had an extraordinary way with animals and plants, and his absolute favorite past-time was fishing. He could catch a fish every time he threw in a line. Austin found solace in reading the Bible, listening to music, drawing, hunting, kicking up mud and talking with family/friends. He was always willing to help others; His generosity was unparalleled and is his legacy for us all to carry on.

Austin lit up every room he entered and gave the best hugs. He was bursting with energy, curiosity, and kindness-always eager to learn, share, and make others laugh and feel encouraged. His infectious smile and quick-witted commentary could brighten the darkest of days, and his laughter brought warmth and happiness to everyone around him.

He is survived by his Father, Ryan Roper; Twin brother Tyler, Stepmother, Anna Baker; and his Step-siblings, Allyson and Hunter, all of Parrish, FL. As well as Step-siblings, Brandon and Anastasia, of Ohio and Lakewood Ranch respectively. He is also survived by his Mother, Heather Younkman-Ivery; Stepfather, Riccardo Ivery; and his Step-siblings, Savannah, Sean and Summer, all of Sarasota, FL. Austin's love will also live on through many other beloved family members, including his paternal grandparents, Edwin and Linda Roper; his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Pamela Younkman; his aunt, Ashley Roper; cousins Justin and Keiyana; his Uncle Tommy Younkman and family, as well as many other Roper and Younkman family members located across the country.

A Celebration of Austin's Life will be held at 310 North Bay Boulevard, Anna Maria, Fl 34216 at 11:00 on Friday, August 1st, 2025.

My sweet nephew. I love you so much. I´ll never forget our random "educated"conversations and conspiracy theories. The random foods we would try like judges on food network. The laughs we had making fun of each other or other people. So many memories I have of you, Tyler and Jay together more like brothers than cousins. You left a mark on everyone that knew you. We will continue to celebrate you and remember the good times we shared. We are so blessed to have had you in our lives. Taken much too soon but it seems God had different plans in mind. I know you´re in heaven looking over us. I believe that! It´s not goodbye sweet Angel. It´s see you later. Until we meet again we will be missing you.

In Loving Memory of Austin

Austin was a sweet, spirited boy who brought joy and laughter into our lives. My family and I cherish the unforgettable moments we shared-from casting lines together fishing Sarasota bay, wandering through the Red Barn flea market, and even those simple haircut days that somehow turned into memories. My wife Jade had the privilege of babysitting him, and they filled their time with creative projects and adventures in the park. He was full of character, bursting with promise, and touched our hearts in ways that will never fade.

We love you deeply, Austin. Your light remains with us.

There´s so many memories with Austin as I knew him since 5th grade I believe. As me and Allyson spent lots of times together , I was around him a lot. I grew to ask for him when I would come over , I grew to say yes to going out and doing crazy things with him and allyson , I grew to grow a love for him as if he was my own brother. Although I haven´t seen Austin recently, my love and care for him never faded away. He truly was a ball of energy and adventurous. If you could think of a person that would do something spontaneous and crazy , he was just that person for you. It breaks my heart that he left way way too soon but I know he lived his life to the fullest potential that he could. My conversations and memories with Austin will never be forgotten.
