Austin Southworth Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 5 to Jan. 6, 2023.
Austin Thomas Southworth, 37, of Belleview, FL, died unexpectedly on January 4th, 2023 after a long, hard-fought battle with addiction. He leaves behind a grieving family: his daughters Adalynn and Alana Southworth of West Hartford, CT, his loving and committed parents Nancy and Harold Southworth of Ocala, Florida, his sister Renee Cross (Daniel Cross) of Stone Ridge, NY, and his brother Matthew Southworth (Katherine Zager) of West Hartford, CT, his daughters' maternal grandmother Arlene Henry of Belleview, FL as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Austin spent his first ten years in Highland, NY before moving to Belleview, FL, graduating from Belleview High School in 2004, where he enjoyed sports including wrestling and football. Austin was a welder by trade. He was always willing to join in on an adventure, like an impromptu road trip to Iowa with his brother Matt, and he was deeply protective of his sister Renee. Austin was a kind, loving, hardworking young man who would give you the shirt off his back. His smile was contagious and he would always lighten the mood with his humor. His family grieves the premature loss of his life.

A celebration of life will be held at Rochester Fire Co., 922 Samsonville Rd, Kerhonkson, NY 12446 on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
