Autumn Dawn Mills

Autumn Dawn Mills (Bostick), aged 40, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Polkton, North Carolina. Born in Macon, Georgia, Autumn brought vibrant energy and passion into every space she entered.

From her early days at Peachland Polkton Elementary School to her time at Anson Senior High School, Autumn was known for her spirited nature. She was lovingly nicknamed "little red headed tornado" by her grandfather, a moniker that aptly captured her fiery spirit throughout her life. Autumn's career path reflected her versatile and resilient character, encompassing roles as a homemaker, waitress, and a self-described "Jack of all trades."

Autumn cherished her time at Oakdale Baptist Church during her childhood, a place where she began to develop her strong sense of community and faith. Her hobbies included music, writing, and working with her hands, which were outlets for her creative and dynamic energy.

She was a person who lived with intensity-quick to provide encouragement or to speak her mind passionately. Autumn loved her family deeply, often emphasizing the importance of reconciliation and unity. Her support for her loved ones was unwavering, even during her own challenges.

Autumn is mourned and lovingly remembered by her sons, Jacob Griffin and Lucas Stack, her sisters, Stephanie Sark and Layla Helms (Brian), and her uncles W.C. Wright and Roger Wright (Vickie), and several cousins, nieces, and nephews, She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Mills, her grandparents, William Chanford Wright and Margie Lee Wright, her aunt, Cynthia Diane Wright; and her parents, Teresa Wright and Anthony Quinn Bostick.

Autumn's legacy of love, strength, and spirited dialogue will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of living boldly and loving fiercely.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service honoring Autumn's life to be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 5:00 pm at Oakdale Cementery (The Old Griffin Davis Cemetery) at 1329 North Carolina Highway 218 Polkton, North Carolina.
