Autumn Reed-Walker Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 23, 2023.
Autumn Reed-Walker was called to Heaven on August 18th, 2023, in her home, after battling Stage 4 Melanoma cancer for 3 years.

Born August 24th, 1976, in Vancouver, Washington to Amber Tresham and Robert Reed. She graduated from Hudson Bay High School in 1994 then graduated from Concord College in 1998. She then raised her two children Connor Reed and Kamryn Walker. She worked many jobs throughout her career but landed an opportunity at Marquis Piedmont in 2008, where she worked as an Activity Director. This job became her dream job, where she got to make residents, family members and her teammates feel loved, included, and happy. She continued working until August of 2021. Where she had to give up her dream job and take care of her health.

Autumn was recognized throughout her time with Marquis Companies such as the annual OHCA for Activity Director of the year for the state of Oregon, multiple Legend, and champion awards. She assisted Veterans to Washington D.C. twice and a trip to Las Vegas to watch her "Pilot Pal's" cheer on the Portland Pilots Women's Basketball team during the Championship in 2023. She was always willing to do whatever it takes to make these trips feel special for the seniors.

Autumn enjoyed spending her time around her nieces and nephews, camping, fishing, hanging out at Battle Ground Lake, attending basketball and baseball games, working on arts & craft projects for work and home, watching movies, being around her friends, reading her bible and making every day count.

She is survived by her mother, Amber Tresham; father, Robert Reed; son Connor Reed; daughter, Kamryn Walker, her sisters; Amy Williams, Alana Reed, Alysia Meness, niece, Kassie Reed; great niece, Lilly Salgado; great nephew and best friend, Andre'es Salgado; and numerous extended family members. Autumn loved and cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. To know Autumn was a blessing within itself and pure joy! There was never a time she failed to put a smile on your face.

Autumn's life will be celebrated on September 4th, 2023, at 11:00 AM at East Park Church.

We were on a mission trip with our youth group. We were getting some food before getting back on the bus, she hopped up as were all standing up to go and she said in her cute voice "Don´t forget Autumn". So cute at the time. Now knowing she is in the Lord´s hands, we say, "We won´t forget Autumn". - - -Candi Thormodson (Cleveland)

It´s hard to find words for all that Autumn was for Marquis Piedmont but her presence and memories has left an indelible mark! Her spirit is unmatched! Funny, caring and talented hardly touch the list of adjectives to describe Autumn! Her suffering is over and I´m sure she had a straight ticket to heaven. Rest in Peace !
