Avery Farrell Obituary
Though her life was short, Avery's story touched over a thousand people. Her fight and her will to live has been inspirational to those who met her and followed her story. Avery will forever be referred to as a butterfly, not solely because of the Turner's syndrome association, but because of the miracle child she is.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her favorite big sister, Paisley (2); paternal grandparents, Robert and Naomi Resendez, Charles J Farrell Jr; and maternal grandparents, Bentley and Tisa Albert Berlin; paternal great-grandmother, Romana Martinez; paternal great grandfather, Charles J. Farrell; maternal great-grandparents, Ralph and Marguerite Albert; maternal great grandmother, Janet Berlin and many other relatives and friends who loved "Our Little Butterfly" very much.
"Dearest baby, please know that our greatest blessing was having you."
Visitation for Avery will be Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Her Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00am until service. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10:00am at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, Louisiana. My Dear Alesi and family,
Chas, I have never met you but I feel I know much about you as a loving father and devoted husband. Alesi, I still see you as my special girl in the 8th grade and recall Washington with your precious mom. You have been a totally dedicated, loving mother for Baby Avery. We know that God brings us each into this world for a specific purpose. Avery has carried out her mission of touching lives as only she could do. I know both of you will have memories that will bridge you through these later times and trust me, you will need those memories. I have prayed for Avery and all of you morning and evening every day of her life and will continue to pray for you all. The months ahead will be VERY challenging. The two of you will need each other as you pass through the grieving process. Hold on to your love for each other and Paisley as you continue to grow and heal as a beautiful young family. God has many more plans for the Farrells and we will all be praying for you all to have the strength and faith to move forward with great anticipation of the many gifts that still await you. I am needed Tuesday to care for my two granddaughters and will not be able to attend the funeral. Just know my heart is with you all.
