Mr. Jones was my baseball coach in the early 60's. He coached FOP (Fraternal Order of Police). He was a good guy, wonderful family. He was an encourager.

David

I just read of your dad's passing and Sharon and I would like to offer our condolences to your family.

My fondest memories of your dad are many, but specifically I recall him watching us play at Memorial and Sallie Parks in his PD uniform.

I also remember a certain "drive" from one end of town to the other....you get my drift.

Please call...have heard from you in a while. And, I am sorry we missed his funeral. I do not take the Phoenix (Toby too), my way of protesting a poor paper.

Sweet Mel: Your sweet B.G. was always telling us jokes on Wednesday nights at First Baptist - he will be missed. Hold those precious memories close to your heart....for memories is something "NO" one can take away. May God wrap "HIS" arms around you during this time.

Mel:
We were so happy to see both you and Gene at Bert's Birthday. Gene never missed an opportunity to remind me that I was a pill growing up. I don't think he ever forgave me for shoving that dandelion flower in his mouth. He will be greatly missed. I just found out this evening and am in New Jersey and won't be able to be there tomorrow. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. All My Love, Brenda

Mel,
We are so glad we got the opportunity to visit with you and Gene at Bert's birthday party. As usual, Gene had some great stories to share and he made us all laugh.
One thing he said that touched my heart was that every time he went through Haskell he visited mama's grave. That meant a lot to Brenda and I.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Everytime I saw B.G. he had either a story or a joke to tell. He had a knack for telling jokes and I always enjoyed listening to them. He was liked by all and my thoughts and prayers go out to the Jones Family.
