I'm sorry for your loss, although I knew Babette briefly the time I spent talking with her on the weekends was enlightening. She spoke proudly of her family and it filled her heart to paint a picture of her life and theirs. Even though I could not tell her goodbye, in my heart she is always saying hello with a bright smile. Until we meet again.

I knew Babette through Marti and Jim and she joined many of our block parties. She was always pleasant and upbeat despite all she went through. She was an inspiration to many. When I heard that she had passed away, my first thoughts were: She's free at last.

I always think about Babette on Monday afternoon because that is when I would visit her. It was very difficult for me when we moved and I didn't see her every week. She was always a good friend. We enjoyed her Christmas Eve Open House, and she enjoyed Jim in his Santa Suit visiting her in the nursing home on Christmas eve. She had an easy and beautiful smile. Take care of each other.
Love,
Marti & Jim

Dear John, Joe and Jennine,
I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I have many fond memories of your mom, as you know your house was my home away from home when we were younger.
She will truly be missed by many.
