BRUNEAU Robert A. Bruneau, age 62 of Milford, beloved husband of Linda Durand Bruneau, died Friday, April 4, 2008. Mr. Bruneau was born in Bridgeport, June 12, 1945 to the late George and Dorothy Lancaster Bruneau and was a Milford resident for the past 12 years. He was retired from the City of Bridgeport Fire Department where he was a firefighter for 21 years. Mr. Bruneau was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a life member of NANV, Port 5 and a member of the American Legion, Post 0196. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Kenneth Bruneau of Vermont and Robert Durand of Milford; a daughter, Kimberly Bruneau of Vermont; a sister, Catherine Smith of Arkansas; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bruneau was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Bruneau and by a sister, Janice MacNamara. Funeral services will be private. The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made to the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation, 601 Boston Post Road, Milford, CT 06460 in Mr. Bruneau's memory.
