Barbara Ann Barclay

We have so many great memories and so much respect for the Barkley family. Without them we would not be who we are and where we are today. Both Mrs. & Mr. Barkley were so generous, kind and inspiring to my husband and I. Barbara gave my family a lemon tree one day to plant in "our garden at home" & at the time we had no home and thought that would only be a dream. I believe without their motivation we wouldn´t be in the Bay Area. Today the lemon tree lives a long and healthy life in our home, almost 30 years strong. We are in loving memory of Barbara Barkley. I thought that Barbara was one of the loveliest person I have ever known in my 76 years. She was beautiful inside and out. She was generous, kind and loving. I´m sure that God is happy to have her. Her children were her life. I am so happy that she lived long enough to see her legacy of grandchildren and a great grandchild.! She left her mark. Sarah Hines

There are so many moments with Barbara that it is hard to pick one so I am going to talk about a few, riding in Barbara in her car. She would drop my off at my job while she continued to do some errands, walking Tippy and Mitzi (the doggies) and getting ready for the Marin County Fair where I would enter something from my son, Ryan and Barbara would enter an art piece or poem from her older granddaughter Marie and then a few years later this included stories from her younger granddaughter Angelina. Listening to Barbara tell stories when Mark, Stephanie and Susan were younger. There was never a prouder mom. Prouder grandmother. She would always be there for any performance that either Marie or Angelina were a part of. She is sorely missed, not only for her kindness and wisdom but aslo or her laughter. Martie Amador

Barbara was a true Angel here on earth. I loved her kind heart and warm smile. She is missed every day. Heaven is so lucky to have another beautiful Angel!!
