Mrs. Barbara L. (Luongo) Beaucher

Barbara L. (Luongo) Beaucher of Reading passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House. She is 90 years of age. Born on January 31, 1931 in Chelsea, Barbara is the oving daughter of the late Silvio Luongo and Alice (O'Neil) Luongo. Barbara is a warm, kind and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed. Barbara attended Rosary Academy in Watertown. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University and her Master's Degree of Education from Boston College. Following college, Barbara worked as a school librarian for both the Woburn Street School in Wilmington and the St. Joseph's School in Wakefield. Barbara married the love of her life, Robert A. Beaucher on June 3, 1951 in Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Medford. She was an avid bridge player and mystery reader who enjoyed doing needlework. Barbara and her family enjoyed travelling throughout the United States and Europe. A devout and spiritual Catholic, Barbara was an active communicant of Saint Agnes Church in Reading. Barbara is the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Beaucher. She is the devoted mother of Nanette B. Olson and her husband Harold, Peter R. Beaucher, Patrice B. McManus and her husband Joseph, Christopher R. Beaucher and the late Suzanne M. Beaucher. The cherished grandmother of Nicholas Olson and his wife Jessica, Zachary Olson and his wife Dao, Samuel Olson and his wife Sarah, Monique Osborne and her husband Kevin, Serena Boucher, Baileigh Rossignol and her husband Tyler, Paul Beaucher, Deanna Beaucher, Olivia Gibson and her husband Huck, Tyrus Beaucher and Joshua Beaucher, Barbara is the and doting great grandmother of Christopher, Quinn, Paige, Mira, Ethan, Timothy, Randy, Rose, Julian and Simon. She is also lovingly survived by her best and close friend for 63 years, Claire Shea. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Barbara's Eternal Life will be held on Thursday, October 7th at 10:30am in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. READING. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
