Barbara Bulman Obituary
Winston-Salem - Barbara Jean Halvorsen Bulman, 90, of Brookridge Retirement Community, Winston-Salem, N.C., formerly of Marion N.C., passed away on October 13th, 2018 after a long illness. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, October 7th, 1928 to Herman and Edith Halvorsen. Barbara was married for fifty-nine years to Marion A. Bulman, a native of Spartanburg S.C. who preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Bilger, and two brothers Richard and Donald Halvorsen.
Barbara retired from American Thread Company, Sevier, N.C. She faithfully took care of her husband Marion during his last illness.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Marilyn Williams (Barry), Sandy Bulman (Joy Weiss), Deborah Bulman; her sons Daniel (Maria) and Stuart (Ann) Bulman, thirteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday October 17, 2:00 pm at Story Memorial Presbyterian Church in Marion N.C. The family will receive friends at the church before the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. Pastor Matt Stevens and Reverend Bobby Locklear officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Story Memorial Presbyterian Church Faith Promise Missionary Fund, 174 Shady Lane, Marion, N.C. 28752.
