I was reading the Halifax Herald this morning and I saw Barb's obituary. We were neighbours, on Maple Street, in Borden and she was friendly and kind. She gave me great children tips and great receipes.

Barb has touched so many hearts and will be deeply missed. She was the most caring woman, so loving and giving of herself to everyone she knew. Barbara's smiling face has been a staple in our neighbourhood for so many years, it is hard to imagine how quickly she was taken from us. My sincerest,heartfelt , condolances go out to Bill, Phillip, Mike, Dale & all their collective families & friends. She has left us with years of memories and antics, which will make us smile as we remember her sense of humour and friendly smiles. I feel privileged to have been counted as one of her friends. I have many fond memories growing up as a cousin of Barbara' s . My most recent is a few years ago in Nova Scotia at her sister Shirley's. My sister Cheryl, our Mom (mae mcbeth) and I went down for a vacation and had a sleepover with Barbara at Shirleys. What happens at a girls night stays at a girls night! I am happy to have only fun memories to remember her by. Barbara will be missed by many.
