LaVerne Brooks

January 6, 2020

My mother, LaVerne Brooks asked me to find out what happened to her friend Barbara, as her phone was disconnected when she tried it on 1.2.2020. I did a search using Barbaras name and found her obit in the Houston Chronicle. Thank you so much for posting it there. I have informed my mother of Barbaras passing. They were long time friends from jl wortham, working together for years and stayed friends for the years after. She will miss her friend

Barbara was my dear sweet friend and neighbor.
We raised our children together and she was my go to for advice on child rearing. Our relationship and the happy times spent together remain with me. I admired so much in Barbara and her willingness to share her talents.

Love to the children,

Jo (Nossek) Keller

Barbara was a loved co-worker with me at Wortham Insurance. She was also a frequent car pooler since we lived in the same neighborhood. She was a great artist and I still have some of her paint projects proudly displayed in my home. She was a good friend who helped me cope with the death of my mother. May she rest in peace. May God bless her family in this time of sorrow.
