Barbara Jean Friesen

It was an honor and pleasure to have known and worked with Barbara when she was our VP at Barrett Middle School. When I first met her, she was recovering from extensive treatments for breast cancer. When I saw her at her home shortly after she retired, she was undergoing treatment for skin cancer. Her strength and eternal optimism were beyond amazing. Rest in peace, Barbara.

We enjoyed singing together in the choir at first Church of the Nazarene when the choir was a force to be reckoned with! She was always faithful in her participation in the music among many other things. God bless her soul. Her mother Lois, was responsible for getting me to kids camp when I was 16 where I was saved. -Dolly Laing

I enjoyed worked with Barbara at John Barrett Middle School. She was so supportive, had a wonderful sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and a wonderful sense of style! She was always optimistic and positive. I will miss seeing her at our retirement lunches. I hope the memories of such a lovely lady will bring comfort to all who knew her.

We live in NH and knew Barbara when she was the vice principal of our grand son's school. She had come to outings held by his parents and though we only saw her very rarely, we valued the time we had with her. To my wife and I she was an exceptional lady and we are truly sorry for the family's loss. Please accept our condolence, she was someone who we admired so much.
