Barbara Sue Goodin

Mrs. Barbara "Sue" Goodin, age 57, of Hinkle, KY, departed this life on Monday, August 5, 2013, in the St. Joseph Hospital of London . She was the daughter of Katherine Gray Overton, born to her on February 28, 1956, in Knox County, KY. On May 23, 1975, she united in marriage with Bobby Goodin, and to this union two daughters and one son were born. She was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine, her mother-in-law, Maudie Goodin and a brother-in-law, Thomas Goodin.
Survivors of Barbara "Sue" Goodin include her husband, Bobby Goodin, Hinkle, KY, two daughters, Bobbie Jean Mills and husband Richard, Artemus, KY, and Jennifer Renee' Merida and husband Jeffery, Bimble, KY, and one son, Wendell Keith Goodin and wife Laura, Hinkle, KY, one sister, Betty Baker and husband Jerry, Flat Lick, KY, seven grandchildren, Felicity Faulkner, Mya Mills, Zackary Merida, Dakota Merida, Joshua Merida, Wendell Ray Goodin, Isabella Goodin, a special sister-in-law, Susie Goodin, Corbin, KY, three nieces, Ashley Graggs, Darlene Brummett, and Nevaeh Martin, two nephews, Tommy and Travis Goodin, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara "Sue" Goodin will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 8, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Glen Collins and Rev. Vernon Lee Garrison officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jones, Jerry Baker, Cotton Baker, Cody Graggs, Tommy Goodin, Travis Goodin, and Brandon Brummett. Honorary pallbearers will be Corbin D.C.I., Dr. Lohe, Dr. Hasni, and Dr. Janes. She will be laid to rest in the Hughes Hill Cemetery at Girdler. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
