Barbara and I met in the Memoir Writing class and we became fast friends right from the beginning. We use to have a coffee clutch every 2 weeks at Helen Hoskins home and when we lost her we tried to continue by going out to lunch every so often. Then in 2003 I moved to Simi Valley and we kept in touch through emails and phone calls. We still made it to our favrite restaurant Tsing Toa whenever I came up to Fresno. Barbara next time I'm up there will have an extra lunch for you. I'm going to really miss our phone calls and emails. The older I get my circle of close friends are getting smaller. You and Helen have a cup of decaf for me when I join you. - Maude

I met Barbara when we took a trip to Ice land on a tour about 7 years ago and we have been friends since. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. We also took our first balloon ride together about 5 years ago.
