I attended nursing school at Johnston Memorial Hospital with my dear friend Barbara. I have many wonderful memories of her and in every one she had that beautiful smile on her face. I can never remember her any other way. Five years ago she attended our first reunion in 30 years and was voted the one who changed the least. When she walked into the room time stood still. She was so beautiful and full of life. She had just become engaged to her wonderful "Larry" after being a single mother for many years. She was very happily in love and we were all happy for her. Thanks, Larry, for being there for her and bringing her those last years of joy. She is smiling down from heaven, I betcha!!!

I was so sad to learn of Barbara's death. I didn't even know she had been sick or would have prayed for and visited her. She was such a Godly lady and good friend to me in our Sunday School class at Gateway. I remember all the good times we had at her beautiful home. Brett and I have been praying for ALL of you and will continue to during this very difficult time in your lives. We know she is with our Lord and Savior but will surely be missed by everyone.

Your friend in Christ,

I met Barbara when I sat for her father. She was caring and lovable. She was a remarkable woman. Her family meant so much to her. This family knows that their mother and sister is no longer suffering. She is with her mom and dad but most of all she is with her family in heaven.God bless this family.

I am so sad that we have all lost such a wonderful person. I worked with Barbara in Sumter. She touched my life and heart and I will miss her dearly. I pray that the love of Christ will carry each of you through this time of grief. I will always remember how much she loved her children and how her face glowed when she talked of Larry. God bless you. Robbie Smith (Tuomey Health Care)

Barbara and I graduated from nursing school and I have such fond memories of working with her our first year after graduation on pediatrics at HVCH Kingsport,TN. She was a wonderful nurse and person who will always hold a special place in my heart. I treasure reconnecting with her a few years ago at our nursing reunion,so happy, loving and vivacious. Our mutual love for our Saviour and Redeemer connects for Eternity and we will have no more good-byes.
Please know I am so sorry for your great loss and am asking the Holy Spirit to meet you.

Sincerely,

Barbara and I went to Nursing School together, in fact Barbara introduced me to my husband Jack. She visited me a few months ago when her Dad died, with her new husband.Praise the Lord she now resides in her new heavenly home forever, never to hurt again.

Your Mother was so kind to me when I had a heavy heart years ago. She had a gift of compassion and wisdom from the Lord to share.

May the God of all comfort be your Source these days for all you need. We pray for each of you.

Barbara was a lovely, loving person...full of life and love and compassion, gentle and encouraging. I've missed spending time with her over the last 15+ years, but now look forward to spending eternity with her!

We've been praying for you all during this difficult time, but God reminds us that there is joy in the midst of grief. Look for the special things going on right now and know that God is surrounding you.

With much love,
Joanie
