It is with profound sadness that we announce our beautiful Mum & Grandma passed away January 12, 2022 at the age of 81 after an unexpected medical condition.
She was a loving and very devoted Mum to Karen Elizabeth, and cherished and very generous Grandma to Thomas, James and Evan.
Predeceased by her beloved husband John (2018) and parents Lottie and James, sister Marlene and sister-in-law's Violet, Joyce and Joan and brother-in-law's Albert and Sidney.
Cherished and much missed sister to James, Lin and Kay in England, loved sister-in-law of Anne and husband Rainer in Germany. Cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews and all their families in England, Germany and Canada.
After the loss of her beloved John in 2018 Grandma turned her 100% devoted attention to her adored grandsons and was so proud of all they accomplished in her short time with them. The boys will always remember her "grandma" candy drawer that was kept well stocked at all times!
I never remember seeing my mum without flawless hair & makeup and impeccable clothes throughout my life. She never left her home without being presentable in public, including the short ride to the hospital on December 30th when she dressed before the ambulance arrived.
Mum was my rock and the matriarch of my little family. She will forever be in our hearts and our hope is she is reunited with the love of her life and dancing the night away with my Dad.... Till we meet again Mum/Grandma, we love you always and forever xoxo
A huge thank you to all the caring and kind nurses and doctors on the 5th floor and the 4th floor ICU at Joseph Brant. Her end of life was dignified and the expressions of care the ICU Nurses showed was a true blessing during a difficult time.
A Private Family Reflection has taken place as per her wishes.
