Barbara Henry Obituary
Barbara was born in New Brunswick, NJ and graduated from East Brunswick High School. She has resided with her family in Port St. Lucie, FL since 1976.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, David Henry, and her three children: Pamela Powers (Kevin) of Melbourne, FL, Tracy Pogue (Brian) of Melbourne, FL and David Henry (Deanna) of Port St. Lucie, FL. Barbara was a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren: Nichole Orr-Burks (Brad) of Winterville, GA, Alexandra Powers, Matthew Pogue and Nicholas Pogue of Melbourne, FL. She also leaves behind two adoring sisters: Penny Compton (Walt) of Palm City, FL, Susan Burton Minor (Ken) of Palm City, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family. Most weekends were filled with sporting events, family gatherings and lots of laughter. Her pride in her grandchildren's accomplishments was obvious to everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, George L. Burton, Jr, and her mother, Cora Burton Twiggs.
She will be forever missed and loved by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL Saturday, October 19, 2013. Visitation will begin at 12:00PM, followed by a 1:00PM, Service. Fellowship will be held immediately after the Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1000 Dunn Road, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981 in her memory.

What a beautiful woman inside and out and how LOVED she is by her wonderful family. We feel so BLESSED to have known her and she will be greatly missed. Our heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Her humor was infectious and her love of family an inspiration to us all.She truly was a "golden girl! I feel honored to be included as one of her friends. I know we will all meet again in light and love, until then live joyfully as you know she would want for each and everyone of you.

My heartfelt sympathies to ALL of the family of Barbara Henry. Barbara was a wonderful person who I enjoyed working with, taqlking to and laughing with. We planned a bridal shower at work for Susan when she married Kenny. It turned out beautiful. Susan was so surprised. When I supported the Test area for a short period of time, my Mom made Tiramisu for Barbara's birthday. She was so surprised my Mom would do that for her. I hope that my Mom and Barb will meet in Heaven so they can enjoy more Tiramisu together. Barbara, I loved you and I love your whole family. You will be missed terribly by all of us. I pray that the family will find the strength to get through this loss, which I'm sure they will. Their LOVE for one another is awesome All of you are in my thought and prayers.
