KOCUREK
Barbara Joan Jungman Kocurek, age 75, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 in San Antonio. She was born September 25, 1937 in D'Hanis, Texas. Barbara was devoted to her family, gave generously, and led an active life which included a career in Human Resources. She was involved in St. Mark's parish, Sacred Heart Family Guild, St. Monica's Guild, St. Francis Guild and as a Stephen Minister for St. Peter's. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas A. Jungman; second husband, Louis J. Kocurek, Jr.; parents, Winnie and G.O. Braden; sister, Dorothy Shaw; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Rogers. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Laura Jungman Rader and Lynda Jungman Sanchez and husband Mark; grandchildren, Nikki and Thomas Rader and Drew Sanchez; sisters, Inell Rogers and Georgia Hartmann and husband Steve; brother, Gordon Braden and wife Nancy; brother-in-law, Col. Ronald Shaw; numerous step-children and step-grandchildren. The family will have public visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel and 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church prior to Mass.

Laura & Lynda, I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss, and a tremendous loss it is. I am grateful for all the time I was able to share with your mother, my best friend, my aunt, my travel companion, my confidante. I miss her but know that she's dancing her way across the heavens with my mom, her brother in law and both Tommy and Louis! Heartfelt, deep love and many prayers are with you all....
