I had the honor and the priviledge of knowing Barbara from the time she worked in the general practice office of my father, Dr Lester, where she would give us kids a nickel if we were good when we were given a shot. As an adult, I worked with Barbara in my fathers' Ophthalmology practice as a technician for eighteen years. Barbara was impecably honest, and ethical. She was loyal and dedicated. I told her when she retired and I will repeat now, how deeply grateful I was to her for her contribution to my fathers' practices over those decades. I am deeply saddened by her death.
With only love to her memory and to her surviving family,
Lee Evans Lester

Dear Debbie,
It broke my heart to hear this news. I know your mother was suffering so these past few years, but she was such a trooper. You were not only her caregiver, but the love of her life, her best friend, and her angel on earth! I love you, Robin

There are so many memories I have of Barbara. She was a large part of my teen years. I remember her pansies in the backyard, talking about the "toilet tulips", how she froze tomatoes, and her warmth. I am so sorry to learn of her passing, I know this will leave a large hole in your hearts, she had so much love for all of you. Please know that even though I haven't seen her for a long while I will miss her also. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. She was a real treasure.
