Barbara Nanni Obituary
Barbara J. Nanni 82, of Binghamton passed away peacefully on April 3, 2014. She is predeceased by her husband Morris; parents Martin VanBuren; mother Loretta Wasnick; step-father Pete Wasnick; son's Ronald, Toby and Peter. She is survived by her son's Steve (Florence), Jeffrey, Paul; grandchildren Steven and Angela; son-in-law Steve Kepic. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Church and enjoyed her Italian cooking and the New York Yankees. She was a loyal mother to her sons who will be dearly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10-11am at St. Pauls Church. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11am. Arrangements are with the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC.

Steve I know its been many years since our last meeting, but I had visited with your mom and Loretta (my daughter Maggie's middle name). As I was much closer to Ronnie, I really don't know what to say but I know how hard it is when a parent passes. If your ever in the Harrisburg area we are 15 miles south just off rout 15. Barbara has earned her reward. She's given all she could give - six sons; an Irish country girl that learned to be Italian. She thrived on growing her family. She said she was blessed.
Her heart weathered tremendous anguish, losing Ronnie so young, holding Toby as he passed over, being side by side with her mom as she headed to her reward, and, most recently seeing her twins separated by God's will.
Through all of this and for as long as I have known her, her commitment to her family and friends (extended family) never waivered. She was and always will be Mom.
The challenge she has issued to us all - keep true to family and friends. Barbara deserves our prayers and our praise.
I will always cherish your love. Enjoy God's Reward. You earned it.
