On March 11, 2019, Barbara Pasciak, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister, passed away at age 86 at home in Pinckney.
Barbara was born on June 6, 1932 in Detroit, MI to Joseph and Angela (Kuligowki) King. Barbara Graduated from St Cecilia High School in Detroit. On September 2, 1950, she married Anastasius (Ned) J Pasciak.
Barbara lived a passionate and giving life with family and tradition in the center. She was hard working and raised not only her two children but later raised four grandchildren. She is an animal lover, always caring for her many dogs along with her hobbies of bird watching and gardening. She worked as a hospital Aid in her career and as an Election Official for the State of Michigan. Barbara; known as Barbie to some, is a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church and was the President of the Rosary Alter Society for 10 years. She was a Girl Scout Troop leader. A Boy Scout volunteer parent and she was a Eucharistic Minister at St Mary’s. Barbara sent cards to everyone on the Parish sick list at St Mary’s up until a few years ago. Barbara has always loved her community here in Pinckney and Hamburg making many lasting friendships thru her philanthropy and fiery spirit.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Joseph, and mother, Angela, her husband Anastasius and her grandson Jason Pasciak. She is survived by her Sister Anna (Ralph) Craft, her Son Ken (Karen) Pasciak, her Daughter Pam (Carmen) Ancona-Good, her four Grandchildren; Christopher Ancona, Mark Ancona, Julie Shepard and Casi Pasciak. Also her five great grandchildren; Tristan Pasciak, Andrew Ancona, Demetri Shepard, Conrad Shepard and Samuel Ancona. And not to be forgotten, Hercules.
A funeral mass will be held at St Mary’s Church on 10601 Dexter-Pinckney Rd, Pinckney, MI lead by Father Jim Shaver and Father Dan Kogut. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Julie Shepard @ 8972 Rushside Dr Pinckney MI 48169, to be donated to the charity(s) in which Barbara has chosen.

Chris,
We were so very sorry to hear that your grandmother had passed while we were out of town. We wished we could have been there for you during this difficult time.
We remember going over to her house back in the late 90's where you made us dinner. We had such a great time, with lots of laughter. She will be dearly missed by all.
