Barbara Joan “Granny”
Barbara Joan Rippey “Granny”, age 82, passed away on November 18, 2016. She was born on June 11, 1934, to the late Jessie and DeWitt Huddleston in Loyall, Kentucky.
Granny worked as a waitress for over 50 years at various restaurants in the Toledo area. She retired from Merriman's King's Taste. Granny enjoyed playing the lottery and visiting casinos. She loved her family and especially adored her grand and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jessie Lee (William) Kenney, David Allen (Marla) Rippey, Mary B. (Gary) Redmond; brother, George Dewey (Sharon) Huddleston; brother-in-law, Harold Henry; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Granny was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Edward Rippey; former husband, Willie Lee Rippey; siblings, Margaret Henry, Eddie Ray, Wilfard, Willard, John Paul and James E. Huddleston and Dora June Farris.
The family will receive guests on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

I just learned of Barbara's passing. I used to see her at Copland Park while walking my dog. I will miss her and her little dog, Barbara. I send my sincere condolences to her family.
