Barbara ROHRER Obituary
(nee Furlong)
After 91 years of perpetual motion, most of it miraculous and some of it tragic, Barbara passed away peacefully in her home with her family on May 29, 2013. Barbara is now joyfully reunited with her husband of 62 years J. Bryce Rohrer, her first born child Dr. John William Patrick (Bill), her older sister Mary Margaret (Peggy) Greenan and her parents William Henry Furlong Q.C., and Beatrix (nee Green). Dear sister of Elizabeth (Betty) Furlong, W.B. (Bill) Furlong (Jean Mason), and P.G. (Pat) Furlong Q.C. (Shirley Waterhouse). Loving mother of Dr. John William Patrick (Bill) Rohrer (predeceased) and Cynthia (nee Kudrey/Gorski), J.B. (Bob) Rohrer (Donna Mulligan); Major (Ret) David G. Rohrer (Sally McGuire); and Barbara Ann Rohrer, Esquire. Proud grandmother to John William (Bill) Rohrer, Jennifer Rohrer, Michael Rohrer and Diane (nee Lesney), Stacey (Rohrer) and Brian Fuhr, Jana Rohrer, Laren Rohrer, Mitchell Rohrer, Katherine (Katie) Degnore, L. Cpl. John Degnore (USMC), Megan Frassetto. Loving great grandmother to Alexandria, Julia, Tyler, Hannah, Michael, Grace, John William (Will), Rocco, Harrison and Avery. With a smile on her face and in her heart, throughout her life, Barbara made a positive impression on everyone she met. Barbara contributed to the well being of all who knew her. She took great pride in providing help to those in need and was particularly proud of the fact she was a Teachers' Aid at St. James Roman Catholic School assisting children with special needs. She also was a founding Director at the Crisis-Pregnancy-Centre in Windsor. Always a champion for the "under dog", Barbara found a way to get things done that others thought impossible as evidenced by her faithful voluntary efforts at New Beginnings and Victory Faith Christian Centre working with high risk youth. Barbara lived her life anchored in her faith in Jesus Christ and was His good and faithful servant. Donations to Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Cardiac Care Unit would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Sunday 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Monday at 11:30am at

My prayers are with your family at this time and throughout the year. There will be times of missing and times of remembering. God is with you all and she was such a blessing to those she met. She was always an encouragement to me.

Barbara was a faithful servant to God and a remarkable example to everyone she came into contact with about the Lord and how he can truly bless your life.
