Barbara Ann Trausch Schultz, 87, passed peacefully on September 1, 2025, in Lake Forest Park, Washington.

Barbara was born on February 4, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Edward Peter Trausch and Wilma (Billie) Marie McMurray Trausch. She grew up in Riverside, CA, with her sisters Amber Theresa and Wilma Jean. She loved their frequent visits to her extended family in Nebraska.

Barbara married Harold Paul Schultz in 1958 in Riverside, CA. They had two children, Sharon and Steven.

She was a homemaker, a co-owner of 2 retail television stores, and an accountant for defense contractors. She cherished her friends and relatives and enjoyed many family vacations throughout the country and abroad. An avid photographer, she kept many albums of her fun memories and travels. She loved animals and owned nine dogs, including her most treasured chocolate lab, Joshua.

Her favorite hobbies were journaling, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and coloring. Her personality and sense of humor sparked joy in all who knew her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her lifelong friend and former husband of 24 years, Harold Paul Schultz.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Schultz of Lake Forest Park, WA; her son, Steven Schultz of Minden, NV; and her granddaughter, Katharine Champoux of Palo Alto, CA.

Barbara will be laid to rest with her parents in Olivewood Memorial Park in Riverside, CA, in a private service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's memory to a charity of your choice.
