Barbara Lee Sears, 65, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, in the Union Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1943, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Kale Walker and Lucille (Crews) Walker. She married Billy Wayne Sears and he survives. Barbara was a homemaker. She was baptized at O’Fallen Christian Church and a member of the Marine Corps League. Her hobbies included fishing and the outdoors. Survivors include her husband; two sons, William Sears and wife Judi of St. Peters, Mo., and Terry Sears of Terre Haute; a daughter, Sheri Gowens and husband Mike of Panama City, Fla.; six grandchildren, Brittany Flowers and husband James of St. Charles, Mo., Korri and Stephanie Sears, both of St. Peters, Kale Sears of Alton, Mo., Bryce and Karagin Gowens, both of Panama City; six siblings, Shirley Weaver and husband Gene of South Bend, Betty Jackson and husband Charles of Terre Haute, Sue Rogers of Kansas City, Dave Walker and wife Linda, Diane Hochstetler and Jack Walker and wife Kathy, all of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Weaver; and brother, Larry Walker.Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton Street with Pastor Tim Farris officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.

Sheri and family,

Uncle Bill,
